The Tinley Park Community Band and Jazz Band are active year-round,
bringing the sound of live music to Tinley Park and surrounding communities.

Established in 1987, the band has performed throughout the Chicagoland area
and on tours of Washington D.C, Toronto, and Tinley Park's sister city of
Büdingen, Germany

Our performances are free or have low admission fees, making an afternoon or evening of live music affordable and family friendly.

We perform a wide repertoire of music, including marches, show tunes, popular songs, contemporary compositions, and classic band literature.

Members come from all over Chicago and the surrounding suburbs to share their talents.

Jenny Ketchmark-Liska Music Education Award
at Millikin University

The Tinley Park Community Band wishes to honor our friend and former member by helping fund a music education student scholarship at her alma mater, Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois.

The initial goal was reached, allowing the scholarship to be given annually to a deserving music education major.  Future donations increase the amount awarded.

On July 29, 2025, to mark one year since her passing, band members gathered to remember Jenny at sip. Wine Bar which donated 10% of all eligible sales to the scholarship fund.
